A long time ago

During a hike we took in 1999 - we sectioned hiked 700 miles of the AT. When we got into Virginia we got off & hitch-hiked home to Athens, Ga. I still have (and wear!) that purple shirt. Our TEN year anniversary is just around the corner. Love you Joe.

Sunday in Wildwood

Perfect evening after rain today - cooler with clouds shifting - beautiful sunset & half-moon high in the sky - lookout mountain within sight - picking blueberries with Sarah, Beth, & Levi. Could not have asked for a more perfect time.
Today of great note - a new leased was signed on our house in Athens, a new family moving in. And a great sigh of relief for us - it is not much fun paying two housepayment. Also, today we listed the house for sale with a realtor. Wondering now what the months ahead with hold...

On this Thursday evening

I have not taken one single photograph since I left home last week. I've been conscious of it, and maybe almost choosing it - working my memory in a different way. I'm usually the one with the camera always handy. This trip I'm making time to do some audio memories - digitally recording family oral histories. Taking time with my grandparents.
Some great new today, tho not on paper yet, so will not spill the beans. Knock on wood.
PS - no, not preggers, just got our house in Athens rented - probably not that big a deal - but it is to us!!

Greetings from Wildwood

It's my first time in front of a computer in over a week. 100+ emails to look over & my favorite blogs to catch-up with. I've been to Athens & Kennesaw. This morning Levi & I woke to Grandaddy's homemade buscuits & strawberry jam. And we went blackberry picking with Aunt Rie & Beth. Taking it easy now during the heat of the day.

Honey!!

While in Athens last weekend to work on our house, Mo opened the beehive for the first time since we moved. They are doing quite well, and we ended up with several gallons of honey. Got alot of work done on the house and helped Carrie and Greg move, to boot. Productivity!
Ps: Love that sexy duct tape.
